I somehow missed this post earlier; just now enjoying it. I'm totally with you when you say we are "divinely designed to be in nature." Yes! Also ... thank you for the tea-making tips for lemon balm. I grow lots of it (let it take over my herb garden, in fact) but strangely never made tea with it. Now I will, thanks to you!
Thank you Jeanne! Since I wrote this- I’ve been making Lemon Balm infusions. It feels so nurturing! I’m actually a little addicted. 😊An infusion is pretty much a tea that you make and then let it steep for a long time. I make a batch at night and put it in the fridge overnight so it cold for the next day.
I am looking for lemon balm this weekend thanks to you! Nature is so healing and I want more of it in my life. Thank you for these beautiful soothing words. I can’t wait to read more from you.
I’m reading Plant Intelligence and have started Earth Grief too. I have also watched or listened to every lecture he gave that I can find on YouTube or Spotify!

Interesting! So, is the infusion simply for drinking (a stronger-tasting tea)? Or more for medicinal purposes?
Yes to both! My favorite right now is nettle, oatstraw, and lemon balm together.

Thank you, Mary Alice!
And I'm kinda ashamed to say I don't have any at the moment.
Since you got me hooked on Buhner, I’ve gone so much deeper with herbs 💚
Katie, is PLANT INTELLIGENCE the book you're studying? Or simply his work in general re: animism?

You have a happy looking lemon balm!
Thank you! I ignored it last year and somehow it still made it 😂
Always lovely to read your words - this particularly felt like a sweet visit with you.
Aww Kate! That is so kind! I’m humbled 💚
