So much love to you Katie. Nothing really prepares one for the loss of a parent. “Reorienting” is such a good word. In Qigong they also talk about grief being held in the lungs.

This is THE most beautiful article. So filled with what Spirit designed life to be. I’m still saddened with you as this loss will forever be absent on Earth. But as a fellow inhabitant of the shore life, we will continue to seek the joys in our skies, tides, grasses, birds and flowers. You are a wise woman. Much love!

Katie, I was wondering about all this. Your dad's death seemed so quick but I didn't want to ask. Now I know, and I know how you're doing. Thank you for that powerful list. Yes to all of it being okay.

Thank you, Janisse. 💚 I read aloud to him from the first chapter of Wild Card Quilt the night before he died. He was unconscious but it seemed appropriate since it’s a novel about coming home.
